Dark City Agent
Born in a back alley during a time that never existed, Dark City Agent hails from a world where inter-dimensional spies play tricks on each other for no other reason than the fact that they can. Betwixt by the otherworldly temptation of such a place, they have made it their life's work to document these exhilarant happenings.
Not much is known about the enigmatic group as most information regarding their true nature is classified. What has surfaced are coded messages wrapped in sound, smuggled out through some number of songs. Drawing from synth-laden 80s soundtracks, deep bass culture, and the art of reimagining dusty soul and folk samples into something futuristic and otherworldly, DCA crafts immersive sonic experiences that transport listeners to worlds beyond the visible spectrum.
The project of multi-instrumentalist and producer Robbie DelPrete, DCA first emerged from the New England underground before relocating to Denver, CO in 2020. Rooted in sample-heavy electro-soul, analog warmth, and the hypnotic grooves of livetronica, Dark City Agent provides a uniquely captivating sound all their own. From intimate underground sets to festival stages, every performance blurs the line between concert and inter-dimensional portal.
